The Battle of Midway 5

Meanwhile the US battleships and aircraft carriers went to fight against the Japanese aircraft carriers. Because US got more ships, they won the battle and destroy most of the Japanese aircraft carriers. United States of America had won the Battle of Midway Islands. And this is a turning point for the battles that happened on the Pacific Ocean during WWII because after this battle, Japan had lost most of their navies and US start to attack and push back the Japanese Empire. 

The Battle of Midway 4

When the US air forces founds out where exactly the Japanese aircraft carriers were, they sent out their air forces to attack and destroy them. However, the Japanese also sent out there Zeros to fight against US air forces. Because the Zeros were much better than US air forces, they won the battle easily and their aircraft carriers didn’t got any damage. And the Japanese bombers and Zeros keep going to attack the islands. The US army in Midway notices that and sent all of their planes away to attack the Japanese navies in the west and southwest. When the Japanese bombers and zeros arrived Midway, they find nothing. When they realize what happened and went to reinforce the Japanese navies in the west and southwest, it was too late. Most of them got attack and damage. 

The Battle of Midway 3

The third group of Japanese navy came from the northwest. And this is the Japanese aircraft carriers group. There were five of them with some small battle ships protecting them. On the aircraft carriers were fill with lots of bombers, the planes with lots of big bombs that can throw on the islands, and the Japanese Zero, the best plane that were made during World War Two. The Japanese Zeros could fly for long distance; had the fastest speed out of other planes during world War Two and they have strong weapons on the plane. Their mission was to get as close to the Midway Islands as possible and let the Japanese air forces to fight and bomb Midway Islands.

While Japanese Empire was making their plan, America also had some action. They had block the Morse code from the Japanese Empire and noticed that the Japanese Empire is going to have a huge attack on the Midway Islands. So the America took action to Midway Island.

First, US air forces sent out as many air forces as possible to the Midway Islands. So the Midway Islands were filled with lots of US air forces. Second, US navy gather most of the battleships and aircraft carriers to the northeast of the Midway Islands. And they sent out lots of planes to search for where exactly the Japanese aircraft carriers were because they were the main targets for the US navy. Meanwhile, the US aircraft carrier Yorktown that had been heavily damage during the Battle of Coral Sea was quickly repair and join the rest of the US navies in the northeast of the Midway island.

The Battle of Midway 2

So the Japanese Empire had sent out most of their navies to attack the Midway Islands. They decided to attack from three different sides. One group of Japanese navy was coming from the southwest. And these navy boats were filled with lots of Japanese soldiers, when other groups of Japanese navy attack the islands successfully, they will landed on those islands and have the total control of the islands.

The second group of Japanese navy came from the west of the Midway Islands. This group was of navy ships were all battle ships. Their mission is to destroy the US navy, especially the aircraft carriers. Most of the Japanese navies were coming from the west.

The Battle of Midway

The battle of Midway Island was one of the major battles that happen in the Pacific Ocean during World War Two. It was a war that fought between the Japanese Empire and United State of America. They fight this war to know who have the stronger power in the Pacific Ocean.

This battle happened after the Battle of Coral Sea, which was the first battle after the Japanese Empire attacked Pearl Harbor. The Battle of Coral Sea was a important battle because it was the first time that the Japanese Empire had a major sea battle with USA. Both sides’ navy got damage badly. Because most of the USA navy had been destroy when the Japanese Empire attack Pearl Harbor, so USA will try to save as many navy ships as possible. When they have the battle, Japanese navy damage the US aircraft carrier the Yorktown, the Japanese though that they had destroy one of the US aircraft carrier; however, because USA is lack of navy ships, especially aircraft carriers, the soldiers on that ship try very hard to save the aircraft carrier and went back to Pearl Harbor and got fixed.

After this battle, the Japanese Empire wanted to destroy the rest of the US navy ships in one battle. So they start to make a plan to let the entire navy in the Pacific Ocean to gather in one place. And the Japanese Empire target the Midway Island., two small islands in between Hawaii and main land Japan. The Japanese knew that Midway Islands are an important base for the US navy because they provided protection of the Hawaii islands and even main land USA. If they attack these islands, they knew that all US navies would rush to this place to protect them. And when they all gather at the Midway Islands, the Japanese Empire could destroy all of them at the same time.

Korean War Part 3

Meanwhile, China had noticed that North Korea had almost lost the war, so they had decided to send the Chinese People Volunteer Army to North Korea and help them fight the war. The Chinese and North Korean Army had successfully pushed back the United Nation Army back. They took Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea, back and take over Seoul, the capital of South Korea, again.

Then the United Nation Army had a counter attack to the Chinese and North Korean Army. Took back Seoul, push the battle line back to the 38 Parallel Line.

Finally, in July 27 1953

Because there are no clear sign that which side is winning the war. North Korea and China had lots of soldiers and South Korea and UN army had advanced weapons. It seems to them that the war will less for a long time. So North and South Korea had made the “Korean Armistice Agreement”.

This agreement basically is about "insure a complete cessation of hostilities and of all acts of armed force in Korea until a final peaceful settlement is achieved."

Although North and South Korea had stop fighting, they had not made a peace agreement.

So, the two Koreas are still at war since 1950 to now days.
