But it seem like most people did timeline maps instead of separate maps.
So I put on this link
it shows the timeline of the Korean War and i think it did a good job on showing the readers about the Korean War Timeline

Korean War Part 3

Meanwhile, China had noticed that North Korea had almost lost the war, so they had decided to send the Chinese People Volunteer Army to North Korea and help them fight the war. The Chinese and North Korean Army had successfully pushed back the United Nation Army back. They took Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea, back and take over Seoul, the capital of South Korea, again.

Then the United Nation Army had a counter attack to the Chinese and North Korean Army. Took back Seoul, push the battle line back to the 38 Parallel Line.

Finally, in July 27 1953

Because there are no clear sign that which side is winning the war. North Korea and China had lots of soldiers and South Korea and UN army had advanced weapons. It seems to them that the war will less for a long time. So North and South Korea had made the “Korean Armistice Agreement”.

This agreement basically is about "insure a complete cessation of hostilities and of all acts of armed force in Korea until a final peaceful settlement is achieved."

Although North and South Korea had stop fighting, they had not made a peace agreement.

So, the two Koreas are still at war since 1950 to now days.

Korean War Part 2

At the beginning of the war, the North Korea Army was wining the war, because they were well prepared and they got better weapons. However, the South Korea Army had no idea that North Korea was going to attack them.

At the end of August 1950, South Korea had been pushed all the way back to Bussan.

MacArthur ordered the army to create a ring defense circle outside Bussan. He also ordered the army not to retreat again because they were at the edge of the Korean peninsula.

Meanwhile, MacArthur went to Tokyo to meet with other generals to discuss a plan for counter attack in Korea.

MacArthur convinced other generals about his plan- Inchon Landing.

15 September 1950, MacArthur led 300 USA and UK navy boats and 500 USA and UK air forces to start landing in Inchon. The landing was really successful, most of the troops had land on Inchon safely, and they also took back most of the islands near Inchon. Then, MacArthur orders his troops to attacked the North Korea Army that are in the former South Korea territory.

22 September 1950, the United Nation Army in Bussan had started a counter attack; they pushed the North Korea Army back, met with MacArthur’s army and took back Seoul. Most of the North Korea Army had retreated back above the 38 Parallel Line.

And the United Nation Army had pushed the North Korean Army all the way back to the border between China and North Korea. General MacArthur wanted to take over whole part of North Korea and inter China to attack and took over the second biggest communist country in the world. However, the United Nation didn’t want to create more wars so they order MacArthur to stop in the border in between China and North Korea.

Korean War Part 1

After World War Two, Japan had lost its control in Korea. Korea became a free country. However, the country was weak when it first became independent. So USA and USSR decided to give help to Korea, meanwhile spread the country into North Korea and South Korea. After most of the USA army had leaved South Korea, North Korea is planning to attack South Korea. 25 June 1950, the North Korean Army had crossed over the 38 parallel line and attack the South Korea Army. However, North Korea claimed that South Korea attacks them first, and North Korea was just self-defensing.

At the same day, after USA noticed the action that North Korea did, they had sent out air forces and navies back to Korea

At the beginning of the war, North Korea had successfully taken over Seoul, the capital of South Korea, in three days. Hundreds of citizens got kill by the North Korea Army.

29 June 1950, USA Government had gave out promotion for the US army started the attacks from air forces and navies to North Korea Army above the 38 parallel lines.

1 July 1950, two companies of US infantry regiments had arrived in Bussan to help the South Korean Army to fight North Korea Army. These were the first US army that arrived Korea since the war began.

8 July 1950, General MacArthur became the General in Chief of the United Nation Army. Six days later, the president of South Korea, Syngman Rhee, gave out his military control power to MacArthur.

In the following few months, armies from many United Nation countries had came to Korea to help out the war. United Kingdom is the biggest supporter that supported USA to fight the war.

At the same time, Soviet Union had said that they wouldn’t influenced the war that fight in Korea. But they didn’t say that they wouldn’t gather armies alone the border between China, North Korea and Soviet Union. They had gathered they army along the borders just in case anything bad happened to them.

However, China had created a “Chinese People Volunteer Army” with 9 divisions alone the border in between China and North Korea waiting to help North Korea Army.

So these three weeks I am going to focus on the Korean War. Before I start on my research, I want to share what I already know about the Korean War.

Korean War happened during the Cold War, after WWII, Japan had lost its control in Korea. Korea became an independent country. After it became independent, USA and USSR came and wanted to make Korea into democracy or communist. It ends up with north part of Korea became communist with Communist China and USSR and the south became democracy with USA and its allies. After few years, USA had moved most of its troops away from South Korea and let them self-ruled. When the US army left, North Korea attacked South Korea and pushed them all the away to the southeast part of South Korea. When USA noticed this, they sent their troops back to Korea and help South Korea to push back North Korea. When North Korea almost lost the war, China sent help into North Korea and pushed back USA and it allies’ troops. The war kept fighting for a while. And they end up making an agreement to stop fighting in the 38 parallel.  

This is what I know about the Korean War before I do the research. Hopefully I can find more about the war when I do the research.
